Ryan Reynolds officially cast as Green Lantern!!

I love Reynolds,he's one of my favorite actors. The dude is freakin funny, and while he is perfect for this role I just hate that he's playing 2 different Comic characters

I can totally see this guy as Hal Jordan. I can't wait for this movie. It's about damn time they gave GL the big screen treatment. We've discussed it here before but DC needs to open the gates and get these properties out there.....I just hope they retain creative control like Marvel does so they make sure the movies are made right.

I think Ryan Reynolds is a great choice, but on top of that, I want a script, director, and production value that would make Larry the Cable Guy look like the best choice ever. I want it fool proof. I want this movie to be goooooood and make a ton of money!

If Iron Man can benefit from a good origin story, good casting for the the lead (well, Downey was a steal and an exception for Super Hero Movies...let's face it, it is an exception to have someone of his caliber in a Comic Book Movie) and a competent Director who more than cares about the character (many kudos to Jon Favreau, who just seems to get it), then I expect at least as much for GL.
