#131 Was something of a wild comic for me, I got to read this right after Ray (AcroRay) hooked me up with my Micronauts and in the comic Hulk played Micronauts with a little boy he had just saved. The kicker is the two he had were my 2 faves PLUS the 2 Ray helped me restore! See for yourself!!!!!!!!!

Well, after I'll get the dozen or so comic books to finish my collection up to 200...I might go for 300...(I already have 202 to 210 or so).

Looks like we will have a bit of a wait before The Monster sees the light of day.

Coincidentally ran across this just now...
    http://www.bleedingcool.com/2009/07/...r-but-have-to/

The hundred page Hulk graphic novel by Barry Windsor Smith for Marvel, that hit problems. So he took it to Vertigo, renamed as The Monster, then created another hundred pages without ending before Vertigo decided the project was unsustainable.

If you're referring to my new character:ATOMMAN,it's true...but number one will be ready for XMAS and I'll have copies in English and French as well...

Here are 4 of the upcoming covers of this Marvel-like series.

Actually, you have the bulk of the issues I need.

These are the actual Hulk comics I need just from his regular series alone.

    122, 134-138, 142, 144-149, 154, 165, 171-175, 179.

Annuals are 3(I saw you have it smarty-pants!*grins*)and issue 8.

Not many I need now. I'm going to hunt for some of these when I go on my trip.

I do it a peice at a time, cause when I have them all, what would I get then?

    Possibly start on Conan next.

It's what I did when I went to Culver City Ca to get Hulks, the shop didn't have many so I threw down a Benjamin for a FAT STACK of Conan's.

If you got any doubles you would wanna loose (and THAT GOES FOR EVERYONE!) Let me know, I would love to close these holes. Yes, that's from 102-474 Totally unbroken. Whoa, never thought I would see the day.

    SENTRY,for the moment I don't have any double...sorry
But sometimes I come accross a lot with some numbers I don't have along some I own and end up with doubles,if this happens I'll let you know...I'm missing these right now:
176-178-179-182-186-187-190 to 194-196-197-199-200 and I think I have the annuals
    1 to 10 if I recall,got to check to be sure...as I said,I just bought 173-174-177-184 in one shot,I like it,it's the "shipping" cost that's expansive when you're in Canada(Quebec)

As long as you got 181, the rest is easy...

I need about 15 more issues to complete my run from 1-6, Tales to Astonish, & 102-426...it's been a long time though since I bought or even looked for any issues...kinda waitin' for my son to get into that Phase of Comic Reading (Mature).

I'm old school though---Love Peter David as the Bard, but there is just something about the run from 102-200 that has that whole Frankenstein/Jeckyl & Hyde vibe that I dig so much about the character.

His anger wasn't sooo over-the-top the way it is now.

Anyway...Here are 2 Classic Covers from that Period that always resonnated with me:

...and the single story that gets me during that period is:

I'm not the Droid you are looking for...Move Along!

The Incredible Hulk is the best comic book ever!

I have every issue from #102 to the present. I'm only missing the original six issues and four or five Tales to Astonish. I don't have many of his appearances in other books though. I should work on getting those.

This is the first issue I remember getting as a kid --

My dad used to buy different comics and then give to me and my brother after he read them.

The most I ever paid for an issue of the Hulk is $40 for #181. That was about 15/20 years ago (it's in fine condition).

Yeah that famous 181...I bought a reprint ;but also 182&183 goes higher than the others(all that because of wolverine!)havingan original isn't a big thing for me,a reprint does the job sometimes for me,all I want is to be able to read the comic book.
I don't collect those for money but for my own pleasure, that's all...I don't intend to sell my collection one day.One of my very first number was the one where the Hulk comes face to face with the FF
