C'mon now guys it's not like he paid full listing for it $25,000 he got a good deal...“When you say “It’s hard”, it actually means “I’m not strong enough to fight for it”. Stop saying its hard. Think positive!”Comment

it's his hobby and he had the cash to spend ... I also collect NES items and I would love to have that game in my collection ... would I pay that for it?? ... NO! LOL
But it's no different than any other highend rare item in a hobby. I've chatted with a guy who took out a loan on his home so he could buy a rare MOC vintage star wars figure.Comment

that's still an insane amount of money to pay for a game....you can probably get a lot of these types at flea markets.....maybe not this particular one with only 26 made but still...Comment

You might even be able to find one of these in a flea market in Colorado. A friend of mine that I worked with for several years was one of the original kids to receive this cartridge and had it packed away at his folks' place. I think around 2003 he or I ran across a listing for one and at that time it was somewhere between 5K and 10K, I don't remember. Enough money for him to call his mother and ask her to dig out the basement in search of it, but apparently it fell prey to a yard sale some time after 1998, when he moved out to come work with me at a video game company of all places.Comment
