I have no nostalgic ties to Transformers. Never watched the cartoon, never had a toy, I was a little too old by then. So I had no expectations from the first movie at all. Just watched it because it was something to watch. I actually really enjoyed it for the action movie it was.

So I guess for me, if it's similar to the first, I'll probably enjoy it once it comes out on Blu-ray. I can't see myself laying down theater prices for it though.

Sounds fairly similar to me.

I got my first mego in a discount bin at child world when i was a little kid,very little...maybe 2 or 3....so i have no emotional ties to the heyday of MEGO....however,I love the WGSH line to death because they are amazing quality and capture the characters perfectly......Transformers,i grew up with so if this sucked,i'd be the first one to hate it because i love the original cartoon like i love myself and the first movie as well as this movie are absolute perfection. I couldn't have asked for more and in a time where most movies just suck terribly....it was a breath of fresh air to enjoy something so much....so much ive already seen it 3 times. 4th this saturday....loved it.

Okay i just got back and that is 2 1/2 hours i will never get back. As much as i enjoyed the stuff i did like, the negative stuff still sits in my mind. First off MEGATRON is the number 1 bad guy of all time..........period.....case closed..........done.......... Not some character Michael "im a jerk" Bay makes up. He took so many liberties it was pathetic. Second, the first movie was friendly to both the older crowd and kids. I don't remember a single swear in the first one. This one had a ton of cussing, you get a close up of john tuturro's crotch real close up and a set of robot balls they called robot scrotum. Then there is the clear racism with the 2 twin robots. Do not take kids under 8 to see this movie. At least 60% of the audience tonight was under 8 and parents can't just leave without a full on kid riot. Very let down. Now there were some stuff that was great. And 2 1/2 hours is way to long for kids. One more thing since i have my soapbox out. Second to only mego and starwars "they tie" is GI Joe. There is another long preview for it. If i see one more preview i am not going to see it. This movie is going to be in Name and a few character names only. The more i see the more it looks terrible. What made Gi joe great was the individuality of the characters. I should be counting down the days peeing my pants with excitement over this movie. Even more excited before the first Transformers came out. Not even the Snake Eyes vs Storm Shadow fight they show can spark a bit of hope in me that it won't suck.

^^^^ Ahhh,.. The Movie is PG-13 Bro,.. so if Parents are taking their Children to the Flick under the Age of 13,.. I believe it is their Problems.

2. I don't remember hearing the 7 "bad words" that you can not use on your local radio station or regular TV anywhere in the Film. Sorry,.. I guess I am far to Foul to even ***** about something like that.

You get chased down by a Big Arse Flipp'in Robot,.. lets see How many Swear words you say... I'd Say it was pretty realistic.

I agree wholeheartedly with the pg13 thing. If parents took their kids it was bad parenting. BTW there were a few of the more than 7 bad words in the movie. In the fight scenes it was hard to tell who was on what side. I'm not big into transformers so the purist stuff does not bother me. Hearing the robot call the college kid a ***** did.

I am talking about THE 7 ... There are a Select 7 "Bad Words" you can not say on regualr TV,.. nore regular Radio .... that if you do,.. you are in Big Doo Doo ... Those 7 were Not present in the Movie at all.

BTW... Wasn't ***** said Repeatidly in the Old School Tom & Jerry Cartoons of the 60's ?
