    Star Trek II-VI Custom Costumes?

Does anyone know if costumes are available here or if anyone ever made some of the other Trek costumes from Trek II-VI?

    Such as Scotty's vest

Or Shatner's rip off from VI, the Captain's Jacket?

Anyway, anyone ever done one for 8" megos?

That picture of Sulu is just a photoshop of Sulu's head on Kirks body from Trek 5. Somebody painted the chair blue at the same time, but if you look behind him you can see the thick plush carpeted floor only used in Trek 5. Trek 6 had rubber mats for flooring....and the stations were a different color than the khaki/brown color seen here (again from Trek 5).

As for jacket or vest patterns...I've only seen regular uniforms from Trek 2-6 for Megos (the plans for said outfit can be seen in the customego link here at the museum.

I dont think the vest is hard to make..been considering a varient "original series era" one for Mego Scotty myself....the jacket might be tricky though?

Sorry, I changed the picture, when I found this one of Kirk on his book I realized the Sulu one was a fake.

I made a Scotty vest for my project that you asked about. I'm out of room on my photo gallery but I may be able to take a picture and send it to you. It is crude. Everything I've got so far dates back to 1991-1993 or so and were my first attempts. My skills have not improved much.

Recently I've decided it would be better for me to get better at/do more work on my day job and just buy what I need because there are at least 2 people here on this forum who can make anything I want. Heads, clothes, props, etc. At least 2 in almost every case. But they may not all take commissions... I know James Brady didn't do commission heads at one point but I may have the heads under control now.

I will tell you though, that if I get this movie done at all, I would like to follow it up with a movie about another crew and ship in the TOS/STII Gap or STIV era and then move onto something completely original.

      I'm off topic aren't I?

If anyone does have a such a costume, please post it and I apologize for taking down the link to the Sulu pic after the Captain commented on it.

Oh, Hancock Fabrics is having a sale this weekend. I just bought everything I thought I needed including some vinyl at 60% off, but they had Suede there also. I should have gotten some to try the jacket but I'm in over my head already on making costumes I know...

There used to be a guy in England who made custom Mego Star Trek 3-4 Kirk uniforms and sold them on ebay.

They looked really nice, but I heard he glued them together - rather then sewn them ... So they were very fragile and needed to be sewn.

Thanks type1kirk. Nice touch changing your avatar and signature for Memorial Day. Thank you.

On that note, I used to be a cashier at a grocery store in 1984/1985 and I used to thank old guys who would come through my line for "Kicking Hitler's @**" or something like that. I once even had a guy come through my line with numbers tatooed on his forearm. I think I may have similarly met 1 other Holocaust survivor in my lifetime.

I think patterns for the standard Trek II - VI uniform are still posted on Capt. Dunsel's site, Megomadhouse.com. I don't know of anyone doing the casual attire from Trek III or the vests from Trek II onwards. I also like the Generations vest Kirk wore. Pretty snazzy stuff.

Capt. Dunsel does have the movie uniform patterns up on his site.

I don't like the Generations vest too much. Seems to me like the 2nd time Shatner tried to steal Doohan's cool uniform.
