    Heart Starman

This baby is sort of a mystery.
I won him on eBay from some guy named Chip who I think said he was a truck driver or something. He had a bunch of customs he was getting rid of.
When I saw this Starman, I knew he belonged in my JSA collection.

All I know is what he told me. He said Paul Clare did this cloth logo. The head was painted by our very own and wonderful Mr. Dave McCormick AKA DaveMc.

Not sure the origin of the suit. Looks pretty damn good. I thought it was a Brian Leitner work until I got it home and realized it wasn't a flawless Leitner suit. The suit is good but definitely not Leitners judging by the material used on this figure.

If anyone else can offer any information on this guy, it would be greatly appreciated. I love him to death!!!

I built the cosmic rod for the guy and he now stands among the large JSA collection on shelf number 5 in my room. My daughter couldn't wait to get her hands on him when he came. She was on the floor with her Stargirl mego playing some kind of "time warp" storyline. Crafty little kid.

Are you the guy that I got this from? Please tell the story. I get them all confused.
So it is a Brian Leitner suit? Must be his earlier work judging from the material. It is still awesome no matter what.
It's not that I didn't believe you. I didn't save the email through eBay and I wasn't sure exactly what you said.

I am glad you are a member here and can explain who did what now.

Pretty sure they're mine. Early on I was playing with some four way super stretchy material and made a few Starman suits from it. So it's before I was flawless.

Thanks for chiming in bleit1701, I had bought a few different character outfits at the time. I have sold a few on ebay, with no complaints--I dont know what your new material used, or quality would be--but definitely I had no problem with the older "style".

I knew it! I wasn't calling Chip a liar. He said it was Brian Leitner's work and I wasn't sure if he said it or not because I didn't save the original email from Chip so when I posted on here I wasn't sure because I am so used to Brian's Leitner's modern work (because he is sorta one of my customizer heroes.)
So naturally I can spot his work.
Actually, I like the material on this Starman figure. I think it is pretty cool and makes the doll look amazing. I just wasn't aware Brian Leitner used this type of material and he sort of answered the question.
If you notice the Powergirl next to Starman, that is Brian's work.

As far as making something look that good on a Mego body, nobody can touch Brian Leitner. I don't care who you think you are and how many "mego-like" bodies/suits you can pump out in your lab. Brian Leitner is the best.

Glad to see some of Leitner's classics. I learn something everyday about my heroes.
