Those Metal Men die-cast figures were really sweet. They worked well with Star Wars and Micronauts I would imagine, but I'm surprised DC didn't raise a stink about the name.

Yes, yes, Metal Man are great toys. They perfectly compliment Micronauts.
I am more than machine. More than man. More than a fusion of the two.

I liked those! Seems I only found them in Kay-Bee Toys.

Are the Remco Energized and Powerized superhero lines underrated? I liked them, a lot and don't hear much about them, at this point.

Oh boy...there are so many nobody has mentioned yet!

            Crystar by Remco...translucent Crystal figures!
Swamp Thing by Kenner...one of my all time favorites!
Manglors by Ideal...made of the strangest stuff on earth!
Dragonryders of the Styx...3 3/4 sword and sorcery!
Power Lords by Revell...fantastic alien designs!
The Mummy (1999) by Toy Island...really fun figures with cool action features and three awesome playsets!
Defenders of the Earth by Galoob...Flash+Ming+Phantom+Mandrake= AWESOME.
Dino-Riders by Tyco...I'd collect the crap out of these if they weren't so expensive.

Some of those I know, good ones!

              How about Bionic Six?

Those might be the heaviest action figure in their size.

Converters were great but when it comes to mid '80s transforming robots this zybots set comes to mind. I even think Gobots are a little underrated. I never minded getting them as Christmas gifts. I wish all 3 of those lines could have been around longer.

I was always underwhelmed with silver hawks, thunder cats and even masters,I thought they could have been so much better,I had always wished the masters figures looked like the back of the card art instead of like overmuscular dwarf figures.silverhawks felt cheap and wished they had the switch face mask on the show.but figures like Sectuars,Crystar, bravestarr, power lords, captain power had potential.i loved the simple ness of the remco sgt rock figures, unlike the joes, you could have ww 2 action with the rock.star trek figures from galoob were exceptional.

There's a lot of good picks here. Ones that are mentioned that I have a lot of love for are:

Mobile Action Command - I only had a few pieces from this line but I loved the ones I had. I used to pretend that the little guy in blue was the Atom with my Megos.

Metal Man - I had quite a bit from this line. Super fond of these. I used to pretend that the space ship was Steve Austin's.

Lone Ranger - I don't know if It belongs on this list or not but I love this line.

My picks that I didn't see on this list are:

                          Little Dracula
                          Monster Force
9inch Star Trek - I almost have all of these and they are prominently displayed in my home.
Shadow movie line - I mention this line mostly because of the vehicles.
Sgt. Savage - mostly for the vehicles also.

I'm sure as soon as I post this I'll think of an other.

The Galoob Star Trek TNG Bridge was never produced, that would have been cool.

I knew I would miss something important to me. I really love Timpo Swoppets. They were little figurines that you could take apart and mix pieces with each other. They came apart at the head and waist.
Definitely some of the earliest toys I remember. They had vehicles and buildings. I remember having a stagecoach and a fort. They had cowboys, Indians, civil war, vikings, knights and probably a few I'm forgetting.
They definitely have a following but I'm not sure how many are into these. I certainly don't hear about these unless I go looking for them. Is there anyone else here into these?

I've always been a fan of the dollar store Super Powers knockoffs. I need to pick up Bats sometime.
