Need an idea for painting Nightcrawler's head

OK. I am resculpting and painting Nightcrawler's head. I am sick of the jokes my friend's are making about the Famous Cover's head and how he resembles this friend of ours. They are right, that head does not look anything like Nighcrawler.
I got out the head today and retooled it and fixed the goofy Bart Simpson hairdo on the head and I applied some paint. Much better.

How should I do his face? A lot of the better X-men artist give Nightcrawler a touch of black around the eyes and nose.

Anyone got a really good paint job they have done with this character they want to show to give off an idea for a tip for me?
