Thread: It's time for Action. Mister Action!

It's time for Action. Mister Action!

A very nice little pick-up from my local Toy Fair last weekend, the seller thought I was bonkers :-)

    He may be right.

70's LJN 12" GI Joe Knockoff MOC:

That white in the *ahem* groinal region is the "Made in Hong Kong" tag.

Yes, that's right, the packer managed to not only put his shorts on back-to-front, they are inside-out too. Must have been distracted by having to-pack in all the other clothes and accessories :-)

The slanted "i" in the logo is a nod to the old Pailtoy logo I think?

    Cheers!

Knock Offs are too much fun to pass up! These guys were the absolute worst!

    Good score!

I assume you'll keep him MIB. The best part of finding these guys loose is popping off their heads and putting them on Cotswold bodies. Suddenly GI Joe has a worthy and formidable opponent!

Mr Action is cool. There is a nice Mr. Action Double Action figure that is super posable like a MEGO but is hard to find. Mr Action has some cool vehicles and play sets that fit in great with Gijoe. Congrats on find.

I had some Mr Action outfits as a kid, still have one where I drew the Adventure team logo on them.

I also have an early LJN catalog where they call him "Action Man", I can't imagine what made them change the name...

Wasnt there also a more articulated Mr. Action? I recall seeing them with the exact same articulation and body design as the 8" figures? ....Or was that sold under a different name?
