So I'm guessing Michael Jackson is going to be rolling in the dough on this as well? Doesn't he still own the Beatles Catalog?

Yep...as far as I know he does.

He is in some major debt and might have put the Beatles Catalog up as collateral for some of the loans he has outstanding. Apparently, that was one of few smart moves he has made in his life.

I'm interested in this Game...but the big question I have is...if your singing with Beatles(who do 4 part harmonies)...can you chose which Beatle your are...and harmonize with the rest of them. I want to sing Lennon's Part...he's my favorite!

We actually got this for the kids for Christmas this year. That list of songs looks fantastic.
Cant wait, 9 years from now all the Beatles music reverts back to Paul, Ringo and the Estates of John and George where it belongs.

I saw a video to "Sgt. Pepper/With a Little Help from My Friends" using this animation on VH1 Classic a few days ago. While it's not up to the level of a Pixar movie, it's very effective, especially for these songs in the Sgt. Pepper period. Good stuff.

I've never played Rock Band, but this looks like a lot of fun.

^ If you've never played Rock Band before I think this is actually an easier starter, especially for the younger set. You'd be suprised how many Beatles tunes your kids probably know even if they don't realize it themselves.....

Can someone explain why these games are so popular ?

                            I just don't get it ...

You have to buy expensive fake guitars that don't even teach you how to play the real thing.

                            It's basically an over-priced karaoke machine/game right ?

I used to think the same thing until I first played Guitar Hero III. After that I got seriously hooked and have bought every music game released for the PS3, and have downloaded many extra tracks for Rock Band (my favourite). There is just something so much fun about these, especially for someone like myself who is a huge music fan but can't play guitar. It's just a blast to pretend for awhile that I am a real guitar player (or drummer) and playing songs I really like. (for the record, I did take guitar lessons as a teen, but I have short fingers and just couldn't do a good job making chords, so I finally gave up in frustration :-( )

The Devil went down to Georgia and he is spanking my butt! Can't get past the duel with Lou to this song!

Considering this but don't have the cash now for the complete system!
