Does anybody use the self checkout register at your WalMart? I suppose I would if there was a line with the other cashiers,but we never go there when its really busy.I just don't think its right they expect us to check ourselves out.Isn't part of the price of the groceries the check out service.Give me a price break and I'ld gladly do it,but untill then I want face to face customer service.
Just make sure you watch the price of everything that scans and rings up.
If it makes a mistake (in their favor), take the reciept to the customer service and you get that item for free.
I can't tell you how much stuff I got for free because Walmarts scanners are so bad.

I never use self-checkout...I don't go there to work myself...I want the cashiers to serve me.

A lot of places have these now. I tend to use them. I get through the lines faster that way, and for me the quicker I can get out the better.

It's bad enough that we ship most of our work out to 3rd world countries.
Now they want the customers to do what their staff should be doing.

I refuse to use the self checkouts, mainly beacause if they are popular, they will take over, and then what are the old grannies, illegal aliens,and heavily made-up/perfumed and acne prone teenagers (male and female these days)going to do for a living?
