Just added this Color Key to my collection:

This is what I used to do for a living when I was in Pre-Press Printing. Color Keys eventually gave way to four color proofs...but I liked it when you were able to see the cover broken down into the individual colors. Man, I miss pre-press.

Didn't know Murphy Anderson had his own studio/pre-press company.

That is True. Caption Action were very posable, Gil could draw straight with no reference in front of him, he knew body structure like no one I ever met.

That is truly AWESOME site to behold. Classic stuff. Is that the entire issue?

Yep, it was. X-Men 9: Avengers versus X-Men by the one and only Jack Kirby, super clean inks provided by Chic Stone.

Not really, by the time I has started collecting original Kirby art, it had already reached high levels of $. I traded (not cash) for the complete book to X-Men 9. And what I traded would probably be worth more than this book now. As the deal included the pg 1 splash to Amazing Spider-Man 8 which I bought from Christies's in the mid 90s (for a song (;-) + plus other early key Marvel SA pg 1 splash pages.

Well yes, its all relative. Ditko Spidey then was sooo cheap (compared to today) that you could afford to pick and choose the best available splash pages and action sequences. Now your lucky if you can get a Parker page at a decent price

                          Most recent Ebay pickup:

I think it may be Ray Bailey who worked with Milton Caniff and also was the artist for Mandrake the Magician in the 60's Gold Key books. I'm thinking it is an unpublished Mandrake page...but I'm not positive. Had to piece together 2 scans it's freakin' huge artwork.

Starting to save up some $$$ for Baltimore Comic Con this year. Hopefully can pick up a few pages at that show. Always keeping an eye on ebay too...you never know what may show up.

Years ago at a comic show on Long Island I was stunned to see Mr. John Romita at a table with some of his original spidey art. Being the huge fanboy I could barely even get close enough to look at what he was selling. I never did get up the nerve to ask how much... it seemed like a dream!
