I agree with Hector...Craigslist is great for in person Transactions....I would never do anything via mail and such. I bought the rims for my Dodge on Craigs list. Just remember this......There is someone out there selling TOYS2COOLS D.N.A. or something like that , you will have to check a past post. So I would stick with in-person

So basically it's not something I should bother with then?

I dunno much about your faraway land, but I think a Meuleslist would be a potential success

One of the things I was thinking about listing is a diamond-plate full-top-door truck toolbox.

I know if I list it on ebay motors, with all the fees - I might as well give it away.

That is a perfect item to list on Craig's list.

It's big and heavy. Something you would want to sell person to person without having to place an ad in the newspaper.

As long as i'm hearing so much about you guys dealing with Craigs List for cars, i'm seriously considering putting by second vehicle on it for sale.
It's not doing me no good except taking up space.

    Serious question ......

What would you ask for this ......

    1993 GMC full-size pick-up.
    2 wheel drive
    Straight 6 engine
    about 93,000 miles
Has been sitting for 2 years so it's got some problems ...

    Needs a battery.
    Needs breaks
Needs new hoses, belts (etc) from sitting
    Tires are probably dry rotted

    Tranny is GREAT
    Motor is Great
Body is NOT BAD ... minimal rust -- but a lot of the paint is flaking off.

Comes with the above mentioned toolbox.

    As a guestimate ....
What would be a decent amount to ask -- and actually perhaps sell it for that.

about $1000-$1500,that's what I've seen trucks from that year go for here in Miami, with cars you're gonna get that BS story about the guy living in another state and wants to send you a cashier's check, look out for those.I've gotten about 15 of them in the last week

    $1000-$1500 ?

    That's more then I expected.

I was going to list it for $600.00

Maybe i'll rethink my selling price

    Thanks D
