    Tell me about Craigs list

Was thinking about listing some stuff on Craigs list.
    Not Mego's or collectibles.
    Just regular stuff.

    I know nothing about it.
At the time of writing this post, I never even visited their site yet.
    I will shortly..

Any info about Craigs list and selling with them appreciated.

    Thanks

I'd keep an eye on whatever section you plan to list in for a few days at the very least just to see what's out there and how things work.
There are always a ton of scams going on, at least in my area, they can be easy to spot but time consuming to sift through.
I've had nothing but good experiences with Craigslist, but I use it only a few times per year. Bought a motorcycle or three, sold a few pieces of furniture, bought a full aquarium setup...

Good advice, that's what I would recommend too.

Just don't accept any cashier's checks(All scams!) do it person and you'll be alright.I've bought a bunch of stuff on there really cheap
all my stainless steel appliances for my kitchen

My mosaic tiles for by bathroom I got from $30 marked down to $5 a sheet!!

what's the worse thing that could happen...you list something and it doesn't sell?? who cares,it's free to list

I've found the prostitutes to be hit and miss, but have had no problems buying and selling. Hang out for awhile like others have suggested. I sold my PT Cruiser and bought my Town & Country on Craigslist with no problems....and no fees.

A little patience sprinkled with caution and common sense.
As with anything that is FREE, the flake factor is increased. I have had some good deals, but have also had my share of wild goose chases.
I also tend to try to meet up with folks at public places for small items trading. I never try to invite anyone I don't know into my home. Curbside service is OK.

    have a good time

    HA! I just noticed you got my 777 post, Mike. How holy and fitting. I bet the good Doctor would have something to say about that. :}

I just sold my frig for $850 on craigslist today. Great place for anything that is too heavy to ship.

i've heard of people getting held up at gunpoint. my friend's friend was selling a treo device and basically the person meeting him brought a couple of his friends with guns and he ended up getting robbed instead.

Mike...Craigslist is great for in person local transactions...but do NOT deal via mail as a buyer. There's no protection for that.

Personally, I've have had nothing but GREAT deals there.

I bought my Mustang through Craigslist...as well as my patio furniture, dining table/chair set, a truck, and a Galaga full size arcade machine.

I've also successfully sold one of my trucks through Craigslist too.

    They don't charge fees either.
