    and speaking of finger puppets

There is a lady in Austin, TX named Anna who runs a used toy shop - Anna's Toy Depot. It is a hit or miss kind of thing as she mostly turns around toddler toys and sells some new items in the educational M&D kind of vein. But she is a charming lady and the tacos are always good in south Austin, so it is a fun trip to make. Today she had a couple of boxes full of red and green POTF2 cardbacks along with some freeze frames and flashbacks (for you modern SW collectors). I rummaged in the boxes, but didn't see anything I couldn't live without. She always has a bunch of Fisher Price little people and items, so I am poking about in that area of the store and find these in a bag on the wall.

They are later child guidance versions, and aside from the rub on Grover are in pretty good shape. Pretty cool semi-wild find.

      I recently acquired a long-lost friend:

For a larger pic, go here:

This is the Ben Cooper 1973 Chinese Dragon jiggler. I had one that my Mom bought for me back in the day, and he was always my favorite rubber monster. My original is long dead, so I was thrilled to stumble across this little guy recently on eBay.

The figure itself is sweet...The accessories have always baffled me though. But then again, the Japanese really like a lot of accessories, gadgets, and extra stuff.

The Green Goblin (I think that's who that's supposed to be) in the net is a head-scratcher too.

I was wondering about the fellow in the net.

I figgerd he was one of the many monster things that Spidey came up against in the show.

As opposed to the US show where he always seemed to thwart the corrupt fashion show manager, or the drug dealing money laundering circus troupe. Come to think of it, there never were any super villains in the US show. Cuts down on the effects budget, I suppose.

The oodles of accessories on this figure are what grab me. Same with the CA Spidey from Ideal. Of course he needs a tank full of web juice.

Great grab on the Popy Spidey, Brian. It's a great toy and has been on my radar for years. Someday, someday!

Holy crap, I had one of those as a kid too. I completely forgot about it until I saw your pic. It's so cool to rediscover a long lost toy that was nearly gone from my memory. I loved playing with that thing.

With the family away for two weeks, I took a trip to the Buffalo flea market circut, hoping I'd come home with something. It looked bleak for the first hour but lucky for me this guy was in a corner of a building:

The first "vintage" toy I bought was my neighbour's Mazinga at his yardsale, I still have him. It seemed fitting to get this one. The border guard obviously wasn't a collector "you drove all this way for that?"

I had the perfect spot for him or so i thought, he's too big.
