    Star Trek Captain Robert April

    This is My version of Capt. April.For those who don't know April was the first Captain of the original Enterprise.April took command while construction was still being done on her.He is described as a man in his fifties with light brown hair graying on the sides with blue eyes.Due to a rare blood disorder he is often prone to feeling cold;thus he is usually found wearing a cardigan sweater.This version is as he apears on the inside cover of the book 'The Final Frontier"
    This is a pretty easy custom actually:Pa walton head Repainted
    Kirk body with uniform
    Sweater sewn by me

    Also pictured with his first officer and head of security George Kirk.

    Didn't April cameo in the animated series too? And I recognize George! Kirk's brother? (he calls him Sam).

    Yes Hardygirl,April did make a cameo in the Animated he was quite old by then and also an Admiral if memory serves me.George senior was Kirks Father.James Brother Sam is also in the works;on the series he was also played by William Shatner only he was not in starfleet and sported a moustace.I'll get him finished in awhile.I would like to do a couple more of Aprils Crew first.

    This is great! Theres been too long of a drought on custom Trek...nice to see these. Really cool take on Capt. April (he was a Commodore in the animated episode by the way).
    I always wanted to do one using James Roddenberry head, but never managed to snag one of those.(wish I knew how to post pics...I would post some of my stuff)
