    Is this a paypal scam?

    Hello everyone,

After reading that thread on an eBay email that sounds like a scam I want to bring this one to everyone's attention. Maybe I am just being paranoid but I recieved an email from 'paypal' saying that I can claim some money that I don't know about (apparently) and all I have to do to get it is to give this person my paypal name and password. It looks really official with logo's and everyone, but it sounds suspicious to me.

    anyone else?

It's a scam. The PAYPAL scammers seem to have been working overtime lately. I've gotten several scam e-mails from clone sites during the past couple of weeks.

I now play it safe since I signed into one of those fake accounts and they took over my ebay account for a little bit until I got ebay to TKO all of them but some pepople had already sent money to them. I was so paranoid I started a new ebay account and ID they were selling stuff under my old name cheap DVD boxsets and having the money sent to their own paypal account.

I now only go directly to ebay and paypal no matter what. If they want something from you once you go directly from the internet they will let you know. Don't use email links to sign into your accounts. Only go directly though the interet website. Also if you get the ebay toolbar it will always show green in the toolbar square showing you it's the official ebay or paypal site. If it's red it's a fake site.

thanks for the advice guys, it really bothers me that there are people out there who are trying to scam people like this, lucky for me, I was cautious. I will delete the email immediately and from now on only go directly through paypal.
