The new version even corrects the sloppy helmet-percussion of the original version, which was not on-beat and looked and sounded absurd. Overall, I think the Celebration music is a much more fitting end to the Saga, or even to the Original Trilogy, than the Ewok Music.
I couldn't have said it better myself, good buddy!

I like the original "Yub Yub" song. I can even imitate it....sorta.

One of these days I'm going to have to watch Star Wars. I remember all the hype about it, but because we were never taken to the movie theaters, I never even hoped to see it. Never even thought to ask. It just wasn't done.

          1. Saw it in a theater in 1977

          2. I was 10 years old.

          3. Saw it twice.

I saw Star Wars twice. Once in a theater, the next time in a drive in double featured with.... wait for it..... Orca.

The first time we tried to see Star Wars, it was sold out and we went to The Deep Instead. I was disappointed but there was something about seeing Jackie Bissett in a wet T shirt that got to me, even at 10 years old.

Anyway, for Star Wars and me, it was love at first site. The first thing I remember about Star Wars is the TV ad with the brooding music that was never used in the actual movie.

          You know, this one:

YouTube - Star Wars: Episode IV - Early Trailer

except I remember it having the perspective style Star Wars logo rather than the block letter one shown here.

I noticed it too. You would think that they could maintain the R2 footage at the side while cutting the line at the other side of the wipe since it is a static shot

I guess. Personally, it never bugged me...still doesn't...so if I was Lucas,
I wouldn't spend my dough fixing it up any more than it is.

Who would have have thought that a bunch of adult people would be discussing the Yub Nub song together?

Well, if we're going to talk about STAR WARS music, NO SW music conversation is complete without mentioning the fan-made STAR WARS ACAPELLA.

This is, in my opinion, the finest example of STAR WARS fandom I've ever seen!

I cannot believe this guy's talent!!

                              He isn't signing it.

It is comedy group that created the song and is singing it. The kid is lip synching.

I was with my Mom, Gramma, and my Sister.
I remember Tatooine and the desert stuff.
                                Gramma fell asleep.
I'm pretty sure I was awake the whole time.
However, I got some shut-eye at Star Trek: The Motion Picture.
Funny, 'cause it's one of my favorites now.
