    12 inch skinny bodies

    Hiya folks,

trying to get some parts for 12" skinny bodies.

Did anyone other than Kiss, Sonny Bono, and the Captain use these bodies?

    thanks in advance.

Early KISS Paul, Gene and Ace figures as well as Sonny do indeed come on "skinny" bodies, but from the pics I've seen, it looks like Captain Daryl Dragon comes on the standard 12" body (unless he was available with both body styles like the KISS figures were, except Peter).
Not sure about any others. The male Jordache doll perhaps?

    So what 12" were made.

Cap, Spidey, Superman - these are all muscle bodies
    Hulk has his own body.
    Kiss is skinny or muscle
    Sonny - skinny
    and the Captain. unknown

    are there others?

Mego did superheroes with the skinny body?

I can't imagine a skinny 12" spiderman with no ball joint articulation.

are there 2 or 3 types of 12 in body? I have 2 12" supermen, the "Reeves inspired" head is a 'roid feind (same as Buck) the Curt Swan/8" Mr Fantastic inspired head has the same body as the 12" STTMP males

People always get mixed up over what is considered a "skinny" body, and what's standard.

In my definition, the "skinny body" is the one with non articulated elbows, wrists, etc. that was used by the early KISS figures, Sonny Bono, Lenny and Squiggy (thanks Scott, I forgot about them).

The standard bodies, the fully articulated ones with the pointing index figure on the right hand, is used by the majority of 12" figures including: later KISS, some Batmans and Spideys, the "comic" Superman, Captain America, Luthor, General Zod, Star Trek:TMP, most of the Black Hole and Buck Rogers lines, Mighty Mightor, James Bond and Drax.

The muscle bodies are bulkier, with no pointing index figure on the right hand, and are used for: Reeves Superman, Jor-El, some Spideys, some Batmans, Jaws (Moonraker), Harry Booth (Black Hole), Buck Rogers, Tigerman, Draconian Guard, and perhaps one or two others who are escaping me right now.

Hulk of course, has his own style body.

    Clear as mud?
