As many of you know I am selling many of my Star Trek items including some of my Mego's, both original and many of my customs.
I realized that I had better get some pictures posted up here and documenting all of these great customs, since after all this is THE Mego place to show off such things
In the process of selling off some of my Mego's, I have also come across many that were are in different states of being finished. With renewed motivation to not only finish these but to also create others, I will document here as best as I can many of these customs that I had created along with the growing number of new ones that my wife and I are continuing to create.
With my beautiful wife Alayne now starting to help me with finding the correct accessories, fabric additions and trim, as well as, with "adjusting" some of the outfits for me and helping to add some of the trim and other detailing where needed we are quickly starting to amass quite a large number of Mego Star Trek custom figures, with most of them now being Trek figures that I have never seen anyone having created before.
Here are a bunch getting ready to be shipped:
Close ups:
Young Spock as seen in the Animated Star Trek episode "Yesteryear". Custom card by Anthony - toyroom
My attempt at Zarabeth. My wife's first attempt at making fur boots.
It's cool to be able to look back and see what your first ones looked like compared to what you are able to do later on once you have more experience and figures under your belt.
Close up of Lt. Uhura and Lt. Palamas:
Yellow and blue dress uniforms by Brian Lietner. Blond head is I believe a DM head.
My wife helped with getting Palamas's look correct, especially with the hair.
An original Mego Cheron (Bele) and my custom "reverse" Cheron (Lokai):
Reverse painted head by Doc Mego
A more accurate looking Gorn (thanks to a Mego Lizard figure with swapped out legs (so the feet would bend down to allow slipping on of the boots:
Kirk in Romulan disguise:
Outfit is totally by me (with help from DM with outfit pieces) and I also reworked the head with the eyebrows and ears and painted where needed.
Capt. Kirk in green belly wrap shirt in DST Captains Chair along with Mr. Spock and Lt. Uhura "on the bridge":
Dida deluxe bridge set by MegoScott
