That's a really cool toy (I have the 1974 version). It's a bit on the small side (six or seven inches) but has a fair amount of diecast, which gives it a nice solid weight. You should be able to find a reasonably priced 1975 version on ebay.

The second I saw that Bullmark, every ounce of needing to make even a dime of sense was blown away by the feeling of how cool it would be to play with that Godzilla!

BTW, I'm glad to see the Shogun version made the list. He was just plain kick-butt.

I'm very happy to see the big G get his due, but that list needs more Japanese toy content and less US (yeah I know, the usual *****ing from a diehard Godzilla collector) Still, very cool write up.

But seriously, the amount of cool Godzilla stuff released in Japan over the past 50 years is absolutely staggering. For sheer size, this toy is one of my favourites, he stands two feet tall and four feet long and dwarfs even the Shogun Godzilla. I don't have one (he goes for big bucks) but I saw one in person at the Bandai Museum and damn that's one huge toy:

Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday.

That's one of my grails too, I've lusted for that thing ever since I first saw one for sale in an old Toy Shop ad years ago. In the meantime, I have one of the newer Medicom versions as a poor substitute, but it's just not the same as the original Takara one.
