On the front and back of EMCE Khan, the Mugato is spelled "Mugato". On the front of the Uhura and Mugato, it is also spelled "Mugato". But on the back of the Uhura and Mugato cards, the Mugato is now spelled "Mugatu".

Desilu/Paramount couldnt figure it out either. In the actual episode credits, and the script the creature is called a "GUMATO"!!!

I just picked up my Mugato, Uhura, Soldier Ape and Cornelius at my local Comic shop today. They look great. Paid $70 for all four.

From what I heard, he is "Gumato" in the script but the actors kept messing up the pronunciation into "Mugato" and it was decided to stick with it (but no one told the credits people).Originally Posted by Captain
I think the suit was owned by Janos Prohaska and it was used in a Here's Lucy episode (without the horn and back spikes) as a rare white Gorilla and in a Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea episode in the forth season.
