This is a childhood dream of mine to have such an awesome figures I was a fan of the MacFarlane Snake, but the first words to leave my lips were, "Great figure, I wish he was more poseable!" Then back last year in 2007 I went to one of the greatest cons I ever attended. Megomeet 7. I met a fella by the name of Dave McCormick, he showed me his Kurt Russell Wyatt Earp and began to talk about his Snake Plissken he made, I almost fainted.
I knew then and there I had to have one.
I hunted around on ebay looking for obscure Plissken stuff and found a 12" scale head. Well, I bought it, painted it, and then it sat on my TV for about 4 months. I got a head from Dave right before Megomeet and painted it too. Well, here and there I have peiced parts for the 8" Snake, but I didn't think I would get the premium Snake done before the year was up.
Enter Trappy.
I stayed the night at his house and right before I left he INSISTED I bring along the lonely head. Well, I did. When we got to his place he brought out a HUGE box of parts and peices and we began to build the body. I mean literally we peiced this wonderfull doll out of spare parts, I only wish I had his proper "Pistols" and mac 10 with silencer to finish him up. The 8" Plissken has the actual McFarlane guns and holster from the Movie Maniacs line (HEY DAVE THEY WORK! Set yours up my goog man, I got that loose Snake for about 8 shipped! Not bad to finish him up I think!)
Here's what I used for the 8"
Dave Mc head (Awesome!)
CHiPS "Jon" body for the gloved hands
Lion Rock pants from ChrisDVM (thanks again man but I still need to do the camo print on the pants)
Guns and Holster from McFarlane's Movie Maniacs line Snake
Boots from the CTVT knights line (I still need to finish those)
Here's the pics.
Let me know what you think!
Thanks again Dave Chris and the whole Mego Museum for making this happen!
