don't blink - or - faster than a speeding bullet

    Wow!

I barely clocked this fellow in my watched item list and by the time I had clicked, he came up relisted and sold with a BIN.

I would've liked to see what he would have fetched in the auction with other bidders involved.

$250??? For THAT? Now I know why I can't catch a break on some Megos when people will pay that much for one in that condition. Isn't that a bit high? Even for one with big emblem, etc? It's a little worn looking.

    Rich,
the large S Superman is exceptionally rare,
and Mike paid a very fair price for the figure.

And the stain on the back of the cape was probably from the even rarer Cape sticker.

I'm sure Mike's real happy right now with his purchase, aren't you, Mike?
Congrats on the great pick up.

I think I'm seeing another auction. It's also for Supes, but no emblem on the cape and the auction was ended by the seller, not by a BIN of $250

$250 is a great price for an exceptionally rare figure. How many large sticker Supermans in any condition do you see? 1 a year? every 2 years?

    Meule,

That is the original auction. It was ended in moments by an offer to buy. He cancelled that one and relisted with a BIN. Look at the 'item has been relisted' link.

    A very fair price indeed.

Thanx for the kind words all!
I HAD to jump on that one.He simply doesnt come around much these days!
A big part of my attraction to this one is the fact he probably came from a solid box as evidenced by that sticker residue on back of his cape. All the parts look correct and original. The fact that one of the few rare early hero figs has made it all these years loose w it's orig parts and sticker, absolutely FASCINATES me.I had to grab him
