Selling Question -- can I accept MO's ?

Wait a second. Ebay's planning on going Paypal-only?

That's ridiculous. I've been an Ebay member for about 10 years now and have always paid with a MO. I don't use Paypal, and don't have any credit cards. Does this mean that I'm done with Ebay after Jan 1?

Then your only option is link a paypal account to your checking account. I think they are going to paypal only to stop sellers from claiming that a sold item was not paid for to get out of the ebay fees. I know lately, more and more sellers, I deal with are tacking on handle fees and extra charges if I pay with paypal, to recover what they have to play ebay Mostly these are auction that the final amount is less than $10. I even have one seller who does accept paypal but will give a 5% break on the winning amount if you pay with check, MO or $$$.

I'm very tiring of ebay don't let the buyers to sending the Postal Money Order to the sellers.......

I don't get a new PayPal, I'm always sending the Money Order to the sellers but I've asked the seller's queston in "Contact the Seller question" about the payment first before I sending M/O out to the sellers.

I did ignored ebay's new rules, I bet they're doing nothing to me.

Screw PayPal!

I read some on the ebay forums ....

Some people are saying you (as a seller) are not allowed to advertise you take money orders, but if a buyer asks first -- you can accept them.

To me, that sounds fishy.

I don't trust half the things people say on ebay forums.

From what I've read, this will be the case. You soon won't be able to advertise or solicit these types of payments, but you can accept them if the buyer asks you. A "pink" (ebay employee) confirmed this on the ebay forums. It's the same as cash payments, sellers haven't been allowed to advertise they accept that for some time now, but if the buyer asks, it's between the buyer and the seller and ebay stays out of it. Who knows if this will change some day though, considering how nutty ebay is getting.
