Surprised we haven't seen anyone attempt a re-made/updated Columbo. I honestly believe there is no need...

Although Falk wasn't the first Lt Columbo, he certainly owned the role and his movies kept me from hundreds of lectures in college. I love Columbo more than a married man should.

Oh. . . learn something new every day. Who else has played Columbo?

LOVE Columbo. . . .them all. . . no singular favourites. It was on one of our cable channels TV1 for ages. I used to watch daily and record if I had to go out!

I remember an episode where the guy kills his wife and hides her behind the wall, wrapped in one of her plastic coat bags. That's what tips him off when he finds a coat in the closet with no bag on it. How many of the CSI and other detective shows have done that, but I can't remember one doing it before that. Even now writers seem to revert back to the classics for ideas. If I remember it was Columbo, McMillan and Wife, and McCloud all on the same night. That was great TV!!
I remember them being a rotation on Sunday nights

As I recall, the Columbo part was initially offered to Ba-ba-ba-Bing Crosby.
