Help. Can you identify my Mego 12 1/2" Doll?

Nope, no markings on the head. It's puzzling me, Ive checked the dolls people have suggested and tried to find dolls of the TV stars suggested but no luck. Could it be poss she may a European Mego doll as i am in the UK???

Whoever it is, it sure does look like a Mego sculpt to me. In fact, from the nose up it looks a bit like Ilea from Trek TMP....This is looking like it may be a new find?

I know Mego didn't make one but she looks like a dead ringer for a Cheryl Ladd.

Just a thought, is it possible the head is from another doll line and put on a Mego body, by a previous owner. I just think that because, growing up, my sisters use to do that.

PROBLEM SOLVED!!! She is a 12" doll released in the UK by Mego/Palitoy called SUPERSTAR!!! She was advertised as a simple movie star type doll which had pics in the back showing several Cher and Sylvia Vaartan outfits (She is not Sylvia) and came in a black box with the words SUPERSTAR lighted up in the front (Broadway style)!! She was no one in specific! I did my homework (LOL)!

I did wonder that myself, but without some serious force the heads not coming off. And the structure of the head with the attention to detail and eyelashes is just like the celebrity heads and perfectly in scale and colour match to the body???

Hi Nellie gt,...I had her a couple of years ago,..but I saved her pics in the box (but dont know how to download them here),..didnt like her much,...as she wasnt anybody,..but now i miss her.....(head was to be used for the cancelled Grease-Sandy doll in 8" format,..mold was blown up in size for 12" doll and given a new hair style (refer to the prototype doll). {HI JEMBOY !!!! (he's a good friend of mine!!!}
