    Convention stories, part III

    Other convention.

We have a booth, and there's another one straight ahead, so we have front row seats.

A guy walks over to that booth, and goes bonkers over an item. It's some sort of vintage train set. He really wants it, and gives it a good look. Apparently, he's over the moon.
As he's holding it with one hand, he takes out his money with the other.
    You can guess what happens.
He loses his grip on the toy, it falls to the ground and shatters into a million pieces. We just watched with our mouths open, 'cause we were talking about an amount of several hundred dollars (from what we heard).
The dealer takes the money from the guy, who's in shock, scoops the pieces in a plastic bag (well, I think most of them), and hands that over, saying "thank you very much".

    Item sold!

I feel sorry for the guy, but he did bust it and it was his fault.

If I was the dealer, i'd be totally embarrassed for him and wouldn't know what to say.

I would take his money though.
