Action Jackson Jungle Safari outfit

I've been looking for an AJ Jungle Safari outfit for a few months now. I found one on eBay and bought it. It arrived today but it looks weird. The clothing is pink and the set doesn't include the walkie talkie, belt, and mess kit. The seller is offering me a refund so I'm not going to lose out.



What it should have been:

The seller claims that all of her AJ outfits were in the same Mego shipping case for the past 36 years, unopened and untouched. I also purchased a baseball outfit and it is complete and has no fading.

It is not a faded outfit. The Salmon Safari outfit is a known variation, and usually sells for a few dollars more than the regular.

The variant outfits are from the end of the run (it's in the generic box rather than the illustrated one.) Accessories are missing and/or swapped out for other parts and materials and colors for the clothes changed.
Other examples include the Red Scuba outfit, white M-16 rifle, hockey skates sans blades for Army boots, baseball bat instead of the hockey stick, a speargun instead of fishing net, etc.

I believe there's a list somewhere.

I have the one of the "pink" outfits ,it not faded, that the material they had left meet the production quota, its missing the other pieces it because this the end run of the product.and what was left over was used. like the fishing out fit came with the spear gun, instead of a fishing pole.
I have a aussie marine with skate shoes(Blades cut off) with a Purple bush hat

yeah 2 kinds of croc, and thin one a ,a fat one
canteens , range from dark green cateen and holder, to light green canteen holder , to brown holder & canteen , to white , and some with a AJ chest sticker on it.
Boots light & dark brown, narrow and wide boot,

I just came across a different seller with an Air Force outfit variation. Instead of the grey flightsuit, it appears to be a dark blue AJ jumpsuit.
