So sorry to hear about your loss. For those of us who have never experienced anything to devastating, it is impossible to put ourselves in your shoes. Be assured that everyone here hopes that things work out smoothly and quickly. Life will certainly be difficult for you until things return back to normal. Best of luck to you and your family.

I'm very sorry to hear about all this, John. I'm glad that at least you and your family are safe. I know it will take time and work, but I hope you can get your lives back together as quickly and painlessly as humanly possible. My thoughts are with you.

    John,

I hope this all works out for you guys, soon. You know, when I heard that Ike was headed your way, somehow, I figured all would be all right with you, at least. I guess you always figure it will be someone else. This time it's not and it really I hope you guys really come through this all right. Fortunately, you're all physically ok.

I'll look forward to an update. Take good care.

My God teach, sorry to hear that. We had some damage way up here but that is just terrible. We'll keep you in our prayers.

    John,
I am deeply sorry about you and your families loss. I can't imagine having to actually have it happen. Came close before with a fire about 6 years ago. We had NO insurance at that time. One of the reasons I stress people to get some kind of insurance. You just never know. Can't replace memories, but can help make new ones.
We have had some flooding up here! We got about 5 inches, other areas more and less.
Hope things work out quickly for you. Best wishes.

Today we tried to get some of the ceiling out of the house. We got about 12 garbage bags full out. We also hired someone to put up a tarp on our beat up roof. This has been a very trying time and coming here is my refuge. FEMA has put us up in a hotel and school does not start until Monday.Much of my SW stuff didsurvive. A lot got wet but I a loose collector so it's no big deal.
