    Hurricane Ike

Hurricane Ike has destroyed my house. We tried to rescue as much as we could (memories, valuables) but we are still in shock. About 70 % of our shingles on our house were blown off and the rain just came in. Our second floor ceilings collapsed and our first floor is getting a lot of water. Right now I'm going to another hotel today and have to wait until tomorrow to deal with the insurance company. I really fear my house can't be fixed. Like I said, right now I'm stunned.

WOW. I'm sorry to hear that as well. I hope the insurance process is fairly smooth. At least you and your family are safe?? That is the most important. Have strength, & courage.

Teach, I am so sorry. I can't imagine how that feels. As others have said, at least you and yours are okay. I know the memories can't be replaced, but posessions can. Good luck with the insurance. We'll be thinking of and praying for you.

    Chris
