When I saw that picture, my jaw dropped open and a little squeal of joy came out.
I want one. Chris, where did you find that picture? I was looking on DCDirect.com, and couldn't find a release date.
But dammit, that also means I have to get the blue and grey Batman and a Batgirl now.
Hey! Where's the waiter with the water for my daughter?
It was in today's DC solicitations. The info should be at all the major comics sites, but the toy info is at RTM, where I copied this from:
June 2007 - DC Direct - ROBIN 13" Deluxe Collector Figure
Robin, The Boy Wonder, is the newest addition to DC Direct's line of realistically proportioned, super-heroic 1:6 scale figures! This latest hero in the 1:6 scale figure line is the first of DC Direct's accurately scaled "teen" style figures, and has all the detail and articulation that collectors have come to expect.
The ROBIN 13" DELUXE COLLECTOR FIGURE comes clothed in an authentically detailed fabric costume, includes a display stand and is packaged in a deluxe 4-color window box with a fifth panel.
Advance-solicited; on sale February 6, 2008
Collector figure
$69.99 US
I think one reason his legs may look long is that both arms are spread out a bit and bent at the elbows.
This Robin is a perfect synthesis of the various great Teen Wonder artist interpretations. Perez, Adams, Giordano, Newton...all rolled into one. I can't believe they are making this!!!
First figure in the teen scale, eh? So does that mean we'll see some other Teen Titans? Wonder Girl perhaps? Please? And IF we get Silver Age Teen Titans, maybe we'll get a Green Arrow. My shelf looks weird with a Green Lantern and no Ollie to stand next to him... I would also be willing to bet that eventually we'll have a Supergirl in this scale.
