It's a type 0 body. It's most commonly found on early AJ figures.

I'm certainly not the expert on this, but I do believe that the first wave of heroes had this body as well, so it is possible that this body is original to your RCB....

You, sir, are (or at least were, until you switched the heads) the proud owner of one of the EARLIEST versions of Mego Batman figures.

The original figures (perhaps even only the "Test Market" production run) feature the so-called "Type 0" body. It is called the "Type 0" body because it's chronological order was not realized until after the term "Type 1" was coined (referring to the metal-rivet body; If memory serves, our own Ant coined the term. I could be wrong).

This figure would certainly feature the "Stirrup-Suit" outfit and the "Skinny" boots. Check and make sure your figure is authentic.

If so, I urge you to switch the heads back. That's a heckuva score!

Scott, thanks for posting your question. Just yesterday, I received my first Action Jackson figure and I didn't know what to make of his body type until I read this thread. Thanks megoat and Ben for the info!

Definitely the first Mego body. Great find!
A side note would be that this is the MEGO body that the jointed wrist AHI Monsters were copied from.
The AHI monsters were copied but had less articulation than Mego.

The early run AJ bodies were changed slightly as time rolled on. The plastic pin bodies have a few slight changes until they switched to the metal T1 bodies. I believe Mego did this to eliminate chocking hazards on the plastic pin parts (these came apart easily).

I have an Aquaman that came to me the same way a year or so ago. Came from a guy that had no clue about Mego stuff. He picked it up in a box of toys, that had nothing else Mego so I assumed it came that way originally. A few here confirmed then that the first few figs were released that way. Haven't seen a RC Batman on one though. Anyone else have one of these in their collection on the Type 0 body? First one I've heard of.
    GFY!!!
