Question Trying to remember the name of a line

Trying to remember the name of a line that Matchbox had put out in the 80s. There was a bunch of cars that you would put plastic caps in and would put them in these launchers and shoot them at each other or into walls to snap the caps. Any ideas?

  2. they sound like matchbox mega blasters,

i have them... and yes they are still moc unused

i will post some pics tomorrow for you, i have a few different ones

Someone asked about those a month or so ago and they included pics.
Lo there do I see my Father.
Lo there do I see my Mother and my Sisters and my Brothers.
Lo there do I see the line of my people back to the begining.
    Lo they do call me.
They bid me take my place among them.

    re

    you are probably thinking of
"flash force 2000" (it might be one word)

the catch line was "where the heroes are the cars".

    Kind of mad max design

    check this:

That's it. I think there was also a helicopter too. I remember seeing these at a close out store back in the day.

  6. as i said earlier it sounded like you were thinking of these mega blasters, they are cap firing and have a launcher

these are vintage and dated 1983

i suppose matchbox made many cap firing die cast toys

here are some pics of mine anyways i have many in this line including jeeps and 4x4's

The launchers in those Mega Blasters look almost the same just colored different.

I kind of remember mega blasters. Flashforce 2000 is similar (or vice versa) also used caps and had exploding parts. I used to have these toys but now I only have a tv commercial recorded from back then and the comic books they came with

I think the same holds true for the US to a degree. I have not seen cap guns in a toy store for years, though the black powder bags you can throw on the ground that make a pop I see often in convenient stores
