I love George Reeves version of Superman his Clark Kent is hands down my Favorite but when I think of thee Best Version of Superman it's Chris Reeves he was great in Superman one and two but I really didn't like his portrayal in the third and fourth movies.

As for the others I really like Kirk Alyn alot I got to see his Superman when I was a Kid a friend of the family came over to my house and played a 16mm version of Superman vs Atom man I thought it was great and thought he was in Better shape than George Reeves was.

Routh the Jury is still out until he really does a better movie but I kinda like what I already see.

I can't stand Dean Cains version that shows copies should be burned.....

I'm still searching for that old Belushi era sketch of the Superfriends coming over for dinner at Lois and Clarks place.

          Bill Murray was Clark Kent
          Dan Akeroid was Flash
          and Belushi was Hulk

My UK buddy, Mego Museum member Cory Wood told me the Adventures of Superman never aired in the UK until around 2001.

Getting a classic show (50 years old) THAT late...........
I can see why most people there don't take it seriously.

            It's a shame.

Bradon Routh is Superman. I loved the new Superman. I didn't think Dean Cain was all that bad although I am going on memory and have not seen the show since it aired. I didn't see them all either only a couple episodes.

Chris was good and George I really couldn't watch them but understand he was coming from a different time and they did what they could with it for the time.

It will ALWAYS be George for me. When I was a kid they reran the show every Sunday morning and that imprinted image on my memory ... I did like Chris too. I like the idea of George being silver age and Chris being bronze age, makes sense to me!!!

George and Chris were both great.

The difference is that the 50s show had a good superman but probably could have had someone else in the role and worked because the show was good.

When I watch teh 70's movies now I realize that without reeves these would have been flops and we most assuredly would not hae seen IV (of course that wouldn't be so bad). Really, what redeeming qualities did 3 have other than his duality. Well maybe anette was a bonus.

So I vote Reeve over Reeves.

Cain and Routh were fine but not in the same league.

Like Hackman's Luthor, Chris was my first exposure to Superman. But I did buy George's Superman season 1 recently after having seen several episodes over the past few years and really like the series.
It was like that when I got here.
