    Bat CHiPs Season One DVD

I just acquired the first season of CHiPs on DVD. I got my set at Best Buy in Chattanooga TN. And over there, Best Buy had a special offer. You get a free pair of CHiPs style sunglasses that came with the set.

I watched CHiPs a alot when I was growing up, but believe it or not, I never saw the pilot episode until I bought the DVD. Now that I've watched a few episodes, I now want to recollect the CHiPs figures I had as a kid. I currently have Ponch and Jon with everything except gunholsters and the emblems since the glue on them is now worthless. All I need to do is find some gunholsters and some repro emblems (if they exist) and hopefully some powerful super glue to hold them altogether.

With this DVD set, I'd forgotten just how much fun season one was to watch. I look forward to the following seasons but the last one. The show sucked when Larry Wilcox left and I didn't care much about Bobby and Bruce, the Nelson Brothers, Ponch's new partners.

Anyway, I've had CHiPs on my mind today. Just thought I'd mention the free sunglasses with the set at Best Buy.

    Cheers.

I got the DVD set for my birthday. Like filmation batman fan, I had never seen the pilot episode. Now I have. I really love the show and I'm glad I got it. I can't wait to collect the other seasons. I think Ponch and Jon are great characters.

When I was a kid, and we'd travel to California to visit relatives in the summer, I'd yell "CHiPs!" anytime I saw a CHP motorcycle cop on the highway.

    I'm a big 60-70's cop show lover.

CHiPs has always been in my top 3 favs.

    I think because it's 3/4 serious and 1/4 farce.

That combo makes for a FUN watch without being an all-out comedy.

It's also very cutting edge, (at that time) having a Puerto Rican (or any Latino) lead character.

    It's a good show
