Mego Museum members sponsored these cards (i.e. paid for them) and also helped pay for them by donating to the raffles. It would take some nerve to receive these for free and then turn around and sell them. Anyone who does that is on my blacklist for life, and I am very sure there are quite a few other members who would treat you similarly. Try me.

Well...thank You Guy's for anwsering My question. Honestly...I haven't been following the whole Mego Card thing that closely(sorry, no offence Scott). I mean, I have some that Member's have given Me for free...but haven't gone out of My way to find any...or complete the Collection.

Now that You Guy's have made it clear how much these Thing's mean to You all...I promise, that I WILL NOT sell Them.

You mean threats? Do you collect Mego's? It's not a threat, it's a promise, not just to you, but to all members.

I don't care if you think it's rude that I am stating that I will write anybody off who sells these cards. Selling something that is a gift from the Mego Museum and its members to the Mego community and to potential new members is despicable and morally wrong. It's a great way to lose friends, and it will start right here with me.

Obviously...I'm showing My ignorance about these Mego Card's. But what I'm saying to You is...it would have been possible to explain this to Me...without Threatening, and being a Jerk about! I don't plan on selling Them...but if just by asking the question, I've lost You as a Friend...then I feel it's no loss.

As you can see my display pic on Myspace is the Hulk Mego card! I cherish mine all 3 of them I have (I'm expecting more in the mail) I couldn't sell them it would be like selling my Megos I've spent so much time and effort restoring and the whole point of getting them is KEEPING THEM! I totally agree with dumbldor, Yeah the money may be good but you are totally taking advantage of a beautiful and special gift from a very select fraternity. I have seen that alot sonce I've been posting here. I couldn't take advantage of that, I've waited far too long to meet a wonderful group of people that respect each other as much as you fellas/ladies do.

to do that is just the same as slapping them in the face and tearing open vintage figures from the cards! Well, it's the same to me.

As I say again I cherish every single card I have and the ones I will get just as much as my little fellows! Selling cards is asking for trouble and bringing alot of uneeded a**holes (I.E. Marvel D.C. Paramount, WB etc.) around sniffing and possibly fining the whole lot!

I don't put it past these big compaines,

to quote a fellow megoposter here "I guess when you have so much money, your next goal is to get ALL the money, so you come after poor dumb grown up dolly collectors."

So I think we should find out who these jackasses are and stop hooking them up with "OUR" cards! I put me in this cause I am a very fortunate man for having the 3 I do have!

There was no threat, just a warning and a promise. I think you personally understand from my posts and the posts of others how serious it would be taken if anyone here sold these cards. I never said you would lose me as a friend by just asking the question. What I wrote was:

Anyone who does that (i.e. sells the cards) is on my blacklist for life, and I am very sure there are quite a few other members who would treat you similarly. Try me.

If you understand the issue and aren't planning to sell the cards, which you have made clear now, then my warning was not relevant to you personally. Thank you for taking the time to understand the issues and feelings involved.

No problem bro, just taking up for my fellow mates and keeping the "chicken hawks" broke!

So if you ever need some I would hit the offical thread for the Megomuseum cards and ask around you'll see that these people are very giving with their wonderful cards! (just last week I got 2 from the last Megomeet and they are f*****g awesome!) So do what I do be very proud of these wonderful cards! I love them as much as my actual Megos that they flagship on each card!

As the sponsor of a couple of cards I totally agree...

It sucks that people are snatching these up by the bundle at shows and making a profit but I suppose it's the nature of the beast. Hopefully the cards will still do their job no matter how they're acquired and steer potential Mego colllectors toward the Museum.
