Adaptations or adjacent properties I would add. Like Tarzan and Conan and Dracula all had comic books and movies but none of the movies were based on the comic books specifically.

Does Doc Savage count?
Fresh, not from concentrate.
I forgot about Doc Savage: The Man Of Bronze was released at the theaters first in 1975. I only remember seeing it on Saturday Evening movies.

His books mark him as the first Superhero but he didn't make it into the comic books still the movie special. I would either way. Same goes for The Spider.

Batman 1989 is the earliest I remember.
Batman is also the first comic I read, specifically Detective Comics. I don’t remember what issue. I just remember my brother letting me read it from his stack of comics. It was love at first sight. That Neal Adams Batman costume is the iconic look for me.
Where's Huddles?
Yea, I know ... nobody remembers these 'cepst me
But that's ok :>)
The one that set the bar for comic book superhero movies.
Superman 78.jpg
Superman the Movie for me. My parents took me to see it on January 16th, 1979 for my 12th birthday.

Superman the Movie. But I did just watch Doc Savage for the first time yesterday so I guess that’s the last one I watched. Amazing how much they modeled it after the 66 Batman series.
