I love some of older skits before Disney gained control of Star Wars. Most people have heard of The Holiday Special but there others out there:

The Richard Pryor Show 1977: Star Wars Bar

They used the same alien mask from the Cantine from Star Wars A New Hope & the HS bar scene with a few extras. It seems Pryor was improved his lines in this 5 minute sketch

Again in 1977 Star Wars agreed to let there characters be used on the Donny & Marie for one of the earliest skits based on Star Wars:

The Carpenters...Space Encounters 1978

I recently ran across this:

The Carpenters...Space Encounters is a television special featuring the American pop duo The Carpenters. It was first shown on ABC on May 17, 1978.

This was done with the influence from Star Wars. It's a kooky movie...

The Bob Hope All Star Christmas Comedy Special 1977

The Bob Hope All Star Christmas Comedy Special. December 19, 1977.

Bob Hope is "Barf Vader" the meanest cat in the universe and Perry Como is Luke Sleepwalker aided by Princess Hialeah (Olivia Newton-John) as they capture Barf who has kidnapped Santa Claus. Real Star Wars star Mark Hamill comes to make them stop the parody.

I guess back in those early days Mark Hamill was cashing in on the Luke Skywalker name...

Star Wars German Variety TV 1980 Krieg Der Sterne Parodien

and just when you didn't think it could get weirder, this 1980 German show popped up where Mark Hamill tweeted about this: "I remember not wanting to wear a gold jumpsuit like a rejected member of ABBA or if I could memorize dialogue in a foreign language-but thought "Who cares? No one outside of Germany will ever see this!"
