Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (Season 2) - Trailer
i thought Ep3 was a great character development arc for her. I really enjoyed. not sure I am sold on this actor as Kirk yet though. he's too skinny, lol
I really enjoyed this one! Some obvious nods to "The City on the Edge of Forever". Time-crossed lovers, and completing a mission that your heart just can't bear. Another great example of how this show gets Trek.
Paul Wesley is growing on me. Yes, he's a bit thin, but he's got that Kirk swagger and charm, and still remains likeable. Christina Chong is a stand-out in the series for sure.

Completely agree with all of your points.
I realized last season that they were letting us get to know the characters through individual stories where each one featured and the others play supporting cast. I thought that was pretty cool.
And to Hector's point: Christina is fantastic and certainly easy to crush on.
Agreed with both of you across the board. Fantastic episode. I love Christina obviously. The Kirk actor is great too. Like you said, a bit thin, but he has that William Shatner charisma and swagger too.
My eyes watered a bit when she started sobbing at the end. Yes, I admit it…
Yes, they get Star Trek…unlike the god awful Discovery…
I find myself looking forward to New Episode Thursday and episode 4 did not disappoint. I really dig the entire cast and I love it when the story allows one of them to get to have a moment to shine.

yeah, i like that aspect too. really allows each character to develop. another solid episode
This week's episode reminded me a bit of the Cloud Miners, but was better executed. I think it's the weakest this season, but it's still really, really good.
seeing the previews for the Spock becomes fully human had me expecting the worst. but i actually enjoyed the episode. had some great character moments. not crazy about them having the Spock/Chapel thing though. does not really fit with what has been shown in TOS

It’s my second favorite episode after La'an Noonien-Singh‘s adventure in present day Earth. And I’ll have to disagree about Spock hooking up with Chapel…IT WAS ABOUT DAMN TIME!!! It has been brewing for the longest. The tension was too much to bare. It had to happen.
At first, she went under my radar, but over the course of the series, helmsman Erica Ortegas, grew on me. She’s sarcastic and funny.
While we have seen other characters subtly or verbally work out "Who am I?", Erica knows in her bones who she is! "I am Erica Ortegas and I fly the ship!" That was a really cool moment and she was awesome in it!
Just a head's up: The SNW/Lower Decks crossover episode "Those Old Scientists" dropped early today. It was shown at Comic Con, and Paramount Plus didn't want illegal leaks, so they went ahead and released it. Go watch it!!!
