The End of Daylight Saving Time?

So the movement is afoot to end DST. The Fall Back Spring Forward twice a year Temporal ChaCha we do in most of the USA. So are people wanting to end the Spring Forward into DST so that we stay in a Godforsaken Demon Devised (curse you, Ben Franklin!) counterfeit time zone or do we wish to stay in the Standard Time where it gets dark at 7pm in July?

IMO, since most of the modern railroads and 1800's era migrant and farm workers don't rely on Daylight Savings Times I think we should just have a regular standard time again... Like the old days

Yea, nighttime in the late afternoon kinda sucks, but just deal with it...
    It's why lights were invented

Oh I was judging both sides of the argument. I have worked night shift for the last 10 years so I truly could not care less.

This was created for farmers, but the problem is framers work from sunup to sundown so it doesn't matter. Every year this comes up and the government talks about doing away with it but nothing happens.

I enjoy those summer evenings when it’s still daylight at 8:30 and warm.

That’s the point of this question. They could institute year round DST and make that the Standard Time. I mean if they wanted. It would mean 8 AM sunrises in the winter but that’s life right?
