Congo Bill, King of the Jungle!

King of the Jungle and serial and comic book superstar Congo Bill. Made with a Frankensteined Wrath of Khan Kirk (upper half is modern Mego, lower half is classic). Pith helmet courtesy of talented fellow Megphile Sprytel (absolutely perfect for Bill, both in style and size). I put the ring together on Photoshop and decided Congorilla should have one, too (the earliest stories only had Bill wearing the ring, but later it was both of them, and a gorilla wearing a ring is just cool). From an fun age where a man swapping minds with a golden gorilla made perfect sense...

Man, I love these. Never heard of them before I saw your pics, but I would buy them in a heartbeat. I ended up spending too much time reading all about them.

You are an absolute artiste, my friend! I'm happy I could play a tiny part in making this figure a reality.

No tiny part. That helmet is an iconic part of the character; it ain't Congo Bill without it. And it is beautiful work.

One of the fun things about doing some of the obscure stuff is reading some of the old stories while looking for reference. You learn more about comic book history and get to read some fun tales.

Totally impressed. This figure looks great, but, the set is amazing. You did a wonderful job. I like when someone creates unique interpretations or obscure characters. You have done an amazing job!

Beautiful work, very well done, I'd buy them and I've never even seen the serial or the comics.
