    Haunted Mansion trailer

    I think it looks fun.

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I am curious why they are doing this again with comedians, in 2003 they did this movie with Eddie Murphy?!

Ah, but even that version wasn't diverse enough. We really needed a stunning and brave single mother as the primary protagonist this time around.

            I liked that movie.

Of course it's going to be a comedy. It's Disney, they are not going to make an R rated slasher out of a Disney Park ride.

I thought they hit the perfect vibe with the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie, an excellent blend of adventure, intrigue, romance and comedy. Prior to the release of the first Haunted Mansion movie, I was hopeful it would be along the same flavor, but was disappointed after watching it. Was hoping this latest one would be closer to the movie I expected twenty years ago, but, oh well.

Looks pretty good, I enjoyed the Eddie Murphy version but I think I’ll wait to see this remake on Disney+

There can be a marathon streaming of this, the Eddie Murphy version, and the Muppet special (which I really enjoyed as well, even though I've never gone on the ride).

"I'm going to light a vanilla candle and it's gonna be a game changer."

                    "Will it, though?"

That made me chuckle and I rarely laugh out loud. I'm so glad this is not a slasher film like Honey and Blood. I think it looks fun and has the right tone for me. I'll check it out.

While I like the Eddie Murphy film well enough, having enjoyed it with my kids over th years, there's very little Haunted Mansion in it, aside from Madame Leota being a character. This one looks to integrate the ride elements a lot more, just from the trailer.

Looks like fun. Also seems like Madame Leota will be the story they pursue this time. They showed a glimpse of the Hat Box ghost too. Haunted Mansion is my all-time favorite WDW ride, so I hope they get it right. Hard to tell with Disney these days.

i liked the Murphy version well enough too. my kids loved it when they were little and watched it often. but really this is not my type of movie. i will watch it once, when it hits Disney+ but i doubt it will be a movie i would watch more than once
