    Trying Something Different: Skeleton Squad

Been itching to get and do something with the S-type skeletons from Classic TV toys. Finally got a couple and took some inspiration from the old 80's Nightmare Warriors and the Toy-Ventures video on the Evil Cowboy figures. So here we have Sgt. Grimmstone. Army belt and gun from CTVT, boots from classic Mego, and a helmet that is interesting. It's a softer plastic than the Mego Action Jackson helmets I've had in the past, and the shape is slightly flatter. Still perfect scale, though, and the softer material made it easier to modify. May still put some glow-in-the-dark paint in the eye sockets.

I really like that... looks like it could be the cover of a Weird War Tales comic.

Creepy and awesome at the same time, I agree about it being a good Weird War Tales comic cover.

I wonder if an Evil Ernie can be made from mixing skeleton and type S parts...

Cool! Definitely agree with Weird War Tales. You should make a blister card for it.

I love it, actually been looking at some skeleton toylines lately like Pirates of the Galaxseas, Skeleton Warriors, Mythic Legions, and Bone Brigade. I think that new base will spawn many great custom skeleton characters. Actually with the parts compatibility a Skeletor custom should be possible.

Totally love their bootleg roots, great idea. I'm working on something in the same vein as these.
