Took the neck of my original Batgirl, but the head won't work with the new Mego body?

I finally found my original Batgirl head, from the Batgirl i got in 2nd grade. I took the neck-nob off it, and thought YEAH it'll work with the new Deluxe Mego type body...but no, the hole is too small...what can i do?
