And also...maybe...some of those Saturday morning shows would be hitting one small age group so as you aged out, someone younger aged in and they hadn't seen the show before.

These were a little more modern shows I watched that I thought were pretty good:
Odyssey 5-2002
Dracula-2013
Blade: The Series-2006
Lizzie Borden Chronicles-2015
The Bionic Woman-2007
Invasion-2005
John Doe-2002Comment

Battlestar Galactica (I don't count Galactica 1980 as a second season)
Planet of the Apes
Logan's Run
Honourable mentions:
V (the ongoing series which followed the two mini-series only lasted one season)
Street Hawk
Wizards and Warriors
The Man From Atlantis (the series which followed the four TV movies only lasted one season)
The Prisoner
Quark
For American shows I quite like Outsourced, and my wife and I rewatch it at least once a year. Funny series that nailed the expat experience in Asia.
We’ve all mentioned it, but POTA is at the top of my list for shows I wish had continued.Comment

POTA had such a timeline in the movies that I feel like the show could have done more with. Maybe a rescue mission like Brent did in the second movie for the second season exploring a different region.Comment

Gotta repeat Kolchak: The Night Stalker. For some reason, the episode with people bursting into flames (remember when spontaneous human combustion was a thing) really scared the poop outta me.
The Magician. If this had continued, I wonder if would've kept Bixby from being Banner.
Police Squad. The jokes were getting a bit thin by the end of this show's short run, but I don't care.
The Tick. The one with Warburton. I think it would've only got better.
Invasion & Flash Forward. I mention these together because each made me highly skeptical of getting onboard for shows that aren't going to explain themselves before getting cancelled. I'm still scarred by the American version of Life on Mars.
My Living Doll. OK, OK, its just because Julie Newmar plays a living robot who do your bidding. Your dirty, dirty bidding.
The Sixth Sense & Project UFO. I was a sucker for any unexplained phenomenon back in the day.
Dang! I watched waaay too much TV growing up!WANTED - Solid-Boxed WGSH's, C.8 or better.Comment

I'm remembering Denis Leary in The Job. He was a NY detective. It sort of got recycled into Rescue Me where he becomes NYFD.Comment
