New Mego 2023 figures – Rick and Morty – Star Trek- WGSH

I'm interested in Rick & Morty, but I do wonder if Mego is late the Rick & Morty party for collectors outside of Mego.

I'm hoping they will be popular enough to make some characters that haven't been made elsewhere, like Rick Prime or Mr. Nimbus.

I don't think so. With a few exceptions, I was only buying nuMego versions of DC heroes not originally made. That is until the boxed figures started popping up! Then again, I think I'm on of the few here who have preferred original boxed Megos to carded.

I strongly prefer boxed Megos to carded which is somewhat ironic since many of my early Megos came from Kresge’s.

So, Joker and Penguin are back to their onesies. I hated that back in the 70's. I was happy when CTVT/FTC offered the Batman 66 Joker & Penguin with proper suits and saw that people started to buy them to switch outfits. Still I will buy them when I find them at Wal-Mart and change their outfits and keep the onesies in the box.

I was born in Aug 71 so I never got into the boxed Megos, and yes, I got most of my Megos from K-Mart so I go them on bubble card. Adventures Of Superman and Batman 66 reruns are the earliest memory I have of watching TV and some the earliest toys I can remember playing with were the Batman Mego wave. So to have the chance to by new Megos in a box really takes me back in time.

I.too love the pajamas and the.boxes. I only bought boxed Megos. Something magical about them when I saw them as a kid. Like matchbox cars in a box. A surprise in a box.

Another Wave where there isn't much that interests me, unless maybe later on they announce some more classic horror. Although I am happy they're doing more Killer Klowns, now there's only a few more before we have a proper set.

Given that the classic Mego Joker head sculpt is basically dead on to the Joker head in the logo, I think said logo is a perfect choice. I do have memories of getting Joker and Penguin one day and opening them in the car on the way home. Don't recall the exact circumstances other than it was a longer trip, but seeing that box brought me right back to that moment. I'm not keeping anyone in their boxes, but I am definitely saving one of each box.
