Judging by the trailers, I guess fans of the first movie's tone will like the sequel.
I'll check it out for Helen Mirren's performance as Hespera.

First Shazam movie was a 6 out of 10, just an average flick for me.

But I will of course still check out the sequel when it’s available on stream.

Yeah I do not understand why they went with new characters in this movie. Shazam/Captain Marvel has a nice collection of villains to draw from.

i know this sounds selfish, but i hope the Rapture holds off until i can see this movie...but if not, then i'll be okay, but i loved the first Shazam! movie.

What gawd awful soundtrack. Makes me not want to see it.

But luckily it will not be in the actual movie itself, just the trailer.

Never been a huge Shazam/Captain Marvel fan. I just never dug the whole Shazam family unit.

But I’ll see it once it drops on HBOMax.

I hate that Zac has been outed as as an anti-vaccine, starting to sound more like a Q-conspiracy theorist. I feel sorry for the rest of the cast that they have to deal with him.

I would hate to be a movie studio nowadays. Every celebrity/actor/director/creative is going to tick off one group or another, and then you have bad publicity on your film. And yes, there is such a thing as bad publicity. That being said, some of these folks oughta know better than to just keep their potentially unpopular opinions to themselves. I don't care what Levi thinks. Just show up and act goofy in a super hero suit. That's your job. Then go away.

I've been saying this for years. I loved Guinan & Data in Star Trek TNG, but when the actors open their mouths on politics and etc, i just cringe. It's like finding out that Santa Clause isn't real. Who said "Never meet your heroes" because they were correct.

People flip-flop on opinions every day.
People used to be against "big pharma" now they flipped.
In the end, does it really even matter?
I believe in what my parents taught me: Treat others the way you want to be treated.

James Gunn is going to start up another universe for his movies anyways. He wants to cast younger stars as the leading characters as well he should. I would even go with unknown/lesser known actors because the characters there playing will bring them to the public eye quick enough (Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman etc.).
