So...eh...what's with the 50th Ann. legs?

Is there a fix of some kind?

Yeah, trim away around the back of the calf.

      Top leg part or bottom?
That seems to have potential for a non-mint figure if gone wrong. :-o

Any kind of fix where your carving makes for a non-mint figure. A rolling change is being made to the figures at the factory so you might want to just wait for that.

Otherwise, trim away some of the upper calf around the joint.

Are we able to buy fixed bodies by themselves without buying the toy again?

We haven’t so far so I doubt it. A new figure can be cheaper than buying a body plus shipping.

Hoping that (if) 50th anniversary Star Trek figures are released, any or all body/joint/clothing issues will be solved…keeping fingers crossed.

As someone who has yet to find these, could you please elaborate on what the issue is. Thanks

I really don't like the material used for the costumes....Seems like a Fiber Cloth (Not as Pliable as the original WGSH costumes)...And the bodies are too brittle near the joint area (I popped two knees off by slightly trying to pose to kneeing position)...Range of Motion is very limited with these bodies. Inconclusion, the costumes are made from Cheap material and the bodies are limited with ROM. Mego would have to resolve the body and costume issues in order for me to justify more purchases. Overall, they look great in the box (for displaying only)...However, the excitement ends when you remove the figure from the box to pose ...In my honest opinion.
P.S Why would Mego give us "Cheap Stick On" emblems...they should've been done like FTC did with this Superman emblem (Print on)...last picture below.

What is the issue being discussed that would require the trimming away of the back of the calf. So far I only have two figures on the new body, shazam and black Adam and there doesn’t seem to be any issues with either. Are the issues being discussed specific to the 50th anniversary figures ?

I said like the fourth I can’t keep up with all the defects Mego keeps creating.

It would make your comment more meaningful if you did!

I'm not sure why anyone would want to not look closer at the issue. I buy them anyhow, I enjoy them, I have doubles, I'll get all the new ones regardless. So much care went into these. They don't feel at all like knock off nostalgia. But time will roll on, and not being able to bend the legs of a super hero toy? I bought Batman and Robin from the Classic TV Toys 12" scale, swapped Robin's mask with a Lone Ranger one and I am shocked to have to admit they are more fun. They shouldn't be more fun.
