    3d printing

    Has anyone tried making mego footwear with a 3d printer?

    I have done some. But resin 3d printing is pretty brittle. For most footwear, you need a material that is more flexible so you can slide it onto the feet. So I've done where you remove the foot and peg the boot directly onto the leg, or where the foot of the boot is a separate piece from the boot part on the shin.

      I have a 3d printer that uses filament and I don't think foot wear will work to well. As sprytel stated it would need to be flexible. They make flexible filament but, it doesn't flex very well.

        Have either of you tried designing a slit in the boot back like a lot of the fashion dolls use combined with warming the boot for install?

          Or a front and back half split boot similar to Pulsar's space boots.
